Yelapa,
a charming indigenous village just one hour's boat ride south of Puerto
Vallarta, offers a refuge from modern living without roads, cars,
gridline or hustle and bustle, but with beauty, stillness, and yes, hot
water!
The village is
situated between a tranquil bay and a river's lagoon,
making the water calm and perfect for swimming. The beach is
quiet and free of the multitude of vendors found on most Mexican
beaches. And yet it is graced with a few of the local people
who share with us their traditional pies and art.
